"My work unfolds like an image that opens on the depths of a living body, offering the viewer an inner experience. It is a meditation on the birth of forms and the different times of the artwork, from fabrication to destruction, to constitute a cycle of metamorphoses. My pieces are baroque entities thought as living architectures, activated by performances, or simply by the wandering of the visitors. They are elaborated in a back-and-forth movement from the structure to the surface, from the skeleton to the drapery, according to a ritualized process of creation, which participates in the meaning and the poetry of the forms that it generates."

Recent press

"Sabrina Vitali's bold work is the very expression of what undermines the baroque body. Not only the sculptures she proposes to us are of a definitive fragility, not only the relations of these sensualities with our bodies bring us to the future anthropy, but the impossibility in which she puts us to be able to enjoy the permanence of things is a major metaphysical statement." Jean de Loisy, 2011

"Sabrina Vitali has been chosen for the 4th LVMH Métiers d'art artist residency. She was offered a work on metal at the Menegatti factory in Veneto. The result is works of great poetry that reveal a floating world, in constant metamorphosis." Patricia Boyer de Latour in Connaissance des arts, January 2020
